Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data InteractiveWish ("we", "the site") collects when you use interactivewish.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What we collect

Your account

To create a card, a message or a game on InteractiveWish you sign in with Google or with an email address. We store your email address and the authentication identifier that Google/Firebase assigns you, so we can link your content to your account, stop anyone else from editing or deleting it, and help prevent abuse. People who receive your link don't need an account to open it.

The content you create

When you create something you type in text, choose options and, depending on the feature, add photos, audio or video. That content is stored so that the link you share actually works. It isn't published anywhere: only people who have the link (or, for Couple Card, the players in the game) can see it.

Payments

Premium purchases (e.g. Save the Date) are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details — Stripe handles that directly. SeeStripe's Privacy Policy.

Analytics and technical data

We use a small number of analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to fix what's broken. Microsoft Clarity and Ahrefs Analytics only run after you give consent through the cookie banner shown on the site; Google Analytics runs in cookieless consent mode until you accept. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the site menu or in the footer.

None of these tools are used by us to send marketing emails or spam — we don't do either. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies these services set.

How long we keep things

Most deletions are done by scheduled processes that run on a fixed timetable, whether or not anyone asks.

• Free cards and messages (scratch cards, birthday, love, whispers and Valentine's messages, seasonal cards, news cards and the free "Reveal Me" mode) aredeleted 7 days after creation, together with their photos. Some special modes self-destruct sooner (right after viewing, or after a timer you set).
• Couple Card: a challenge that never starts is deleted after 4 hours. Games and everything in them (text, audio, photos and videos) are deleted automatically within 24 hours of the start of the game. When a game ends, only the players' nicknames and scores are kept, for the leaderboard; no messages or media are kept.
• Paid cards are not deleted automatically, because you paid for them to stay available. They are removed on request or when you close your account.
• Save the Date is meant to stay available for as long as your event needs it, so it isn't deleted after 7 days. It's kept while your account and invitation are active and removed on request or when the account is closed.
• Reactions and replies to a card are deleted after 30 days.
• Erotic Dice: anonymous roll statistics are deleted after 90 days. Custom dice and the roll history linked to your account are kept while the account exists.
• Uploaded files that don't end up in a card (for example, a photo uploaded before you gave up halfway through) are deleted after 7 days.
• Quiz results are kept and can be deleted on request.
• Account data (email address, authentication identifier) is kept while the account exists.

Backups

We don't make our own backup copies of your content: files exist only in the storage space of the card or game they belong to. As with any cloud service, Google's infrastructure may keep internal technical copies for a short time, which Google then deletes according to its own procedures. We can't access or recover those copies.

Where your data is stored

Our data is hosted on Google Cloud (Firebase). Cards, messages and game data are stored in databases located in the European Union, except Save the Date invitations, which are stored in the United States. The files you upload (photos, audio and videos) are stored in the United States, and some of our server functions run there too. Account sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication, which runs on Google's global infrastructure.

Transfers outside the European Union are covered by Google's data processing terms, which rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. SeeGoogle Cloud's data processing terms.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. We don't currently have a self-service "delete my account" button, so requests are handled manually. Write to us from the email address of your account (or tell us which address you used) and say what you'd like deleted:

• A single card or game: if you can, tell us roughly when you created it. For Couple Card we delete the whole content of the game, not a single photo or message.
• Your whole account: we delete the account and all the data linked to it (cards, games, photos, audio, videos, custom dice and Save the Date invitations).

Once it's done, we'll confirm in writing that the data has been deleted from our systems.

Who this data is shared with

We don't sell your data. It's shared only with the service providers listed above (Google, Microsoft, Ahrefs, Stripe), strictly to run the site and process payments, and only to the extent each of them needs to do their job.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
